Confusing Shit with Addressables and Scriptables

I've mostly figured out some buggy stuff that was going on today. Basically, I have a class, which has subclasses, and the parent class is an addressable with it's own asset creation menu. So I had created several of these addressables in the inspector, and I didn't realize that they actually had nothing to do with the subclasses I had implemented. I was instantiating the parent class...

Anyway it's a little weird and I'm not sure how to solve it, but I think I'm gonna just call it a night and relax. 

I put in good work this evening. Maybe I just need to do this more evenings. We'll see how it fucks up my sleep and how it affects tomorrow (I'm drinking espresso now at 9PM as I write this).

The game is gonna get done. No big revelations today. I just wanna get it done. And I am getting it done. So there's that.

This isn't gonna be the big hit and I must remember that. This is just a step in the journey which I am trying my best at.

And it's an absolutely worthy step, and every moment spent working on this is worth my time.

P.S. Sikeeeeeee I just fixed it because I wanted to. Hell yeah.

More Work on Contracts

Keeping up the work. Today just more work on the contract stuff. Getting there. Just need to keep it up. After this, progression is really the main last thing. That and wounds. Perhaps mission types. But not much beyond that, then it's just content.

Contract Types

Today I decided to work on the game before work. Of course, it will be harder to do my job, but, I can do it. I just really need some good progress to get motivated. I have been in an emotional dump with game development for a while now. I am doing good. I just have to keep it up. I'm almost there!

Today I just implemented some infrastructure for contract types. I have also implemented an easy system for new enemy types. Hopefully this will work fine and I can just get cracking adding content at some point soon. 

Once I add a few enemy types and contract types, I will open up the steam page and post the game again on itch. Of course, there's stuff to clean up as far as character development goes (removed greed and glory, now it's just honor). But, one thing at a time and I can't just sit here and iterate iterate iterate in silence. I need to get this moving. So, steam page is coming up, fuck it, we'll say by the end of the first week of April, the steam page will be up. I just need to tidy up what exists. Stop adding content and clean up what exists, and get it out there.

Continuing the Work. Enemy Types.

 Working on enemy types.

I don't feel like going into too much detail.

I have no energy.

I feel like this thing is never going to get done. It's going to go on and on and on

I had a tough day.

But I'm not quitting. I refuse to stop. I have to finish it. Eventually I'll feel good about it. I just have to be more consistent. As always. I will get it done. It is worth doing.
